CONNECTING THE BATTERY (model with electric starter)
In case the battery specification is 12V and more than 18Ah, connect the positive terminal to the solenoid and the negative terminal to the screw of the motor cushion,
base or any place that guarantees grounding.
Make sure the terminals are firmly connected and there is no rust. Remove as needed.
CAUTION:
• The battery can emit explosive gas. Keep away from sparks, flames and cigarettes. Charge it or use it in a well-ventilated area.
• The battery contains sulfonic acid (electrolyte). Contact with skin or eyes can cause severe burns. Wear protective clothing and a face shield.
If the electrolyte comes into contact with the skin, rinse with water. If it gets into your eyes, rinse them with water for at least 15 minutes and call a doctor immediately.
• The electrolyte is poisonous. If swallowed, drink plenty of water or milk, then drink magnesium milk or vegetable oil and seek medical attention.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
REMEMBER:
• Instead of distilled water, do not add tap water to the battery as this will shorten its life.
• Do not add distilled water above the upper electrolyte level indicator. Otherwise, the electrolyte will spill out, damaging the engine parts. In that case, wash it off with
water.
• Make sure you do not connect the battery terminals in the opposite way. This can cause a short circuit or trip the circuit breaker.
