2. PRODUCT INFORMATION
2.1 Description
The pumpBOX lifting station allows for the collection and discharge of domestic wastewater into the sewer system when it cannot be reached by
gravity.
It can also be used when it is necessary to grind the solids contained in the effluent before discharging it into the sewer system.
The system consists of a monoblock polyethylene tank, hermetic to liquids and odours, to which one or two vortex impeller pumps (pumpBOX
DG) or a grinding system (pumpBOX GR) are attached.
An electrical control panel (available separately as an accessory) is required for operation.
When the liquid in the tank reaches a level which sets the level sensor to the ON position, the pump starts, progressively emptying the tank.
The pump stops when the liquid reaches the minimum level, bringing the level sensor to the OFF position.
In models with 2 pumps, the electrical control panel must be programmed to allow the pumps to run alternately. This way, the second pump will
start in order to assist the first in the event that the it becomes blocked or unable to empty the incoming wastewater, ensuring greater reliability.
The maximum level alarm float, located at the top, signals an excessive liquid level in the tank by activating an acoustic/visual alarm device that
must be installed in the electrical control panel.
2.2 Intended use
The pumpBOX lifting station can be used for the collection and lifting of black and grey water from washbasins, WCs, showers and washing
machines in domestic environments.
The wastewater collected may contain faecal matter, small grindable solids and fibres.
It cannot be used in environments with the presence of dust, gases, acids, corrosive, flammable or explosive agents, with liquids containing oil or
grease and for food use.
Do not use the lifting station for purposes other than those for which it was designed and constructed.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by the lifting station if it is used in a manner not described in the manual.
Improper use of the may constitute a source of danger and invalidate the warranty.
2.3 Operating Conditions
Installation sitetemperature: 0°C (32°F) / +40°C (104°F).
Liquid temperature: below 40°C (104°F); up to 80°C (176°F) for 3 min. The tank is therefore suitable for washing machine and dishwasher drains.
Number of hourly start-ups of the installed pump(s): 30 (evenly distributed)
liquid pH: 6 - 14
Liquid density: 1100 kg/m
3
caution
Make sure that the inflow to the tank is sufficient to allow the pump(s) to operate in S3 mode according to the operating
percentage indicated on the nameplate.
To check the maximum liquid flow rate that can be disposed of, refer to the performance curves on page 79.
