4. INSTALLATION
caution
Before installation, carefully read and apply the safety instructions in the manual. The instructions refer to standard instal-
lation: in case of a different installation, please contact Zenit.

caution
Before installing a three-phase pump model, it is necessary to check the direction of rotation of the impeller, following the
procedure described in section 6.1.
4.1 Warnings
• Always observethe local laws and regulations in force in the location where the lifting station is to be installed.
• The pumpBOX lifting station offers multiple possibilities for connecting inlet and outlet pipes. Pay careful attention to local laws that may
require different installation methods (siphons, valves, etc.).
• In the case of installation in a closed room, effective air venting must be ensured (see section "4.7 Venting system").
• The room in which the pumpBOX is installed must include an air recirculation system and a floor drain to collect any leaks or condensation.
EN
If the lifting station is installed in a basement room with risk of flooding, a drainage system must be provided to keep the room dry.
• Pay attention to the temperature range to which the tank is subjected.
• Protect the pumpBOX from direct sunlight.
• Before installation, check that the voltage and frequency of the supply line correspond to those indicated on the nameplate.
4.2 Fitting for emptying in an emergency
The pumpBOX lifting station has a threaded connection in a low position which allows the tank to be emptied in the
event of a power failure or pump failure.
Installation procedure (see Annex 1)
1. Attach the included ball gate to the threaded connection.
2. Close the shutter by turning the lever to the 'CLOSED' position.
It is possible to connect the gate to a drainage system or a manual pump.
4.3 Installation of the lifting station
pumpBOX lifting station must be placed on a horizontal, smooth surface suitable for bearing the weight of the full tank. Secure the lifting station
to the floor so that it cannot rotate or float in the event of flooding.
It is recommended to leave a free space of at least 600 mm around the lifting station, adequately ventilated and illuminated. This will be useful for
any maintenance work.
Installation procedure (see Annex 2)
1. Mark the position of the slots for securing the tank on the floor.
2. Drill holes in the floor at the marks.
3. Fix the tank to the floor using expansion plugs and appropriately sized screws.
The tightening torque of the screws must be such that the tank is not deformed in any way. If necessary, use threadlocker or self-locking nuts
to prevent screws from loosening.
caution
Do not climb on the lifting station and do not place heavy objects on the lifting station.
4.4 Inlet pipe
The pumpBOX lifting station allows the inlet pipe to be installed in different positions.
The tank must be drilled in the designated locations using a drill and a hollow cutter.
caution
Before drilling the tank, carefully check the diameters of the pipes and gaskets.
Installation procedure (see Annex 3)
1. Locate the most suitable inlet pipe hole position on the tank depending on your system.
2. Using a drill fitted with a hollow cutter, drill a hole of the correct diameter on the tank according to the pipe used (see Table):

3. Clean the inside of the tank of any swarf or residue.
4. Place the gasket in the relevant seat.
5. Insert the inlet pipe into the gasket to a depth of approximately 4-5 cm. The rubber gasket supplied ensures a perfect seal and does not require
the use of sealants.
caution
Anchor all pipes so that their weight does not bear on the lifting station.
