What to do...
Make sure that the power cord is securely plugged
into the charger and an appropriate AC power out-
let. Ensure that there is power to the outlet.
Inspect fuses and replace as necessary.
If battery is inserted into any Pocket except Pocket
1, and if Power Saver is Enabled, then press the
Menu button.
Remove the battery or radio from the pocket.
Check electrical contacts on the battery and
in the charger pocket for contamination, corro-
sion, or physical damage.
Verify that the battery is an authorized Motor-
ola Solutions battery. Other batteries may not
charge.
Clean the battery electrical contacts using a
dry cloth.
Remove power from the charger, then clean
the pocket electrical contacts using a dry cloth.
Try replacing the battery. If the fault no longer
exists, take the faulted battery out of service.
If the fault persists with the replacement bat-
tery, take the charger out of service.
The IMPRES 2 or IMPRES battery may be nearing
End of Service. The battery is usable, however the
available capacity may not be suited for heavy use
over an extended shift.
NOTE: For APX NEXT XN battery, the
battery has been exposed to cumulative
over temperature. Motorola Solutions rec-
ommends removing battery from service.
The IMPRES 2 or IMPRES battery requires Cal-
ibration/ Reconditioning. At the next available op-
portunity, place the battery into an IMPRES 2
charger that has Calibration enabled and allow the
charger to complete Calibration (solid green).
The charger is unable to detect the display on at
least one of the other pockets.
