DEMOUNTING THE OUTER BEAD
1) Position the tool head (10, Fig. O)
WARNING!
The positioning and the removal of the operating
arm of the tyre changer from the edge of the
rim can be carried on only after having
brought TC/MDB outwards in non-working
position.
If the tyre has very stiff walls that prevent correct position of the
mount/demount tool on the rim edge, follow these steps:
a- move the arm (1, Fig. O) to its working position.
b- move the bead pressing device (4, Fig. O) to the tyre and
close to the mount/demount tool.
Use the lever (3, Fig. E) to press down on the tyre to create
enough space to position the mount/demount tool correctly
and to insert the bead lifter tool.
WARNING!
Bringing the bead-pressing tool against the
tyre creates a hazard: the operator's hands
could be crushed between the tool and
the rim.
Be careful and keep your hands away
from the rim.
c- clamp the mount/demount tool, insert the bead lifter tool
and raise the TC/MDB arm.
2) Use lever (3, Fig. P) to raise the arm (1, Fig. P) and turn it to
bring the bead pressing device (4, Fig. P) by the drop centre of
the rim (see Fig. P).
3) Use the lever (3, Fig. P) to lower the arm and apply pressure
against the tyre so that the bead is moved into the centre
well of the rim (see Fig. P).
This will ensure that the bead is not excessively stretched and
can easily move onto the mount/demount tool.
4) Use the lever (11, Fig. Q) to move the bead over the lip of
the mount/demount tool.
5) Raise TC/MDB and rotate it outwards to free the work top,
then rotate the turntable to remove the outer bead.
DÉMONTAGE DU TALON EXTÉRIEUR
1) Mettre la tourelle en position (10, Fig. O).
ATTENTION!
Les opérations de positionnement et l'éloignement
du bras opérationnel du démonte-pneus du
bord de la jante doivent être effectuées
seulement après avoir amené les bras du
TC/MDB à l'extérieur en position «hors travail».
Si le flanc particulièrement dur de certains pneumatiques ne
permettent un positionnement correct de la tête de montage
sur le bord de la jante, opérez de la manière suivante :
a- amenez le bras (1, Fig. O) dans la position de travail.
b- placez le pousse-talon (4, Fig. O) à la hauteur du pneumati-
que et à proximité de la tête ; en actionnant la manette (3,
Fig. E) exercez une pression sur le pneumatique de manière à
créer l'espace suffisant pour positionner correctement la tête
de montage et introduire le levier lève-talon.
ATTENTION !
En actionnant le pousse-talon contre le
pneumatique on créé une condition de
danger potentielle d'écrasement des mains
entre le dispositif et la jante.
Soyez très prudent en tenant les mains
le plus loin possible de la jante.
c- bloquez la tête, engagez le levier lève-talon, et soulevez le
bras du TC/MDB.
2) En agissant sur la manette (3, Fig. P) soulevez le bras (1, Fig.
P) et tournez-le en plaçant le pousse-talon (4, Fig. P) dans la
position diamètralement à l'opposè de la tourelle.
3) Actionnez la manette (3, Fig. P) pour abaisser le bras et exer-
cez une pression sur le pneumatique pour amener le talon à la
hauteur du creux de la jante (voir Fig. P).
Ceci permet au talon de ne pas être excessivement tendu et
de monter plus facilement sur la tête.
4) En vous aidant du levier (11, Fig. Q) placez le talon du pneu-
matique sur la partie de la tête en forme d'ongle.
5) Soulevez et tournez vers l'extérieur le bras du TC/MDB pour
libérer le plan de travail, puis tournez le plateau auto-centrant
pour faire sortir le talon extérieur.
DESMONTAJE TALON EXTERNO
1) Posicionar la torre (10, Fig. O).
ATENCION!
Las operaciones de posicionamiento y el alejamien-
to del brazo operante de la desmontadora del
borde de la llanta deben efectuarse solamente
luego de haber llevado los brazos del TC/MDB
al externo, en posición de "reposo".
Si el flanco particularmente duro de algunos neumáticos no per-
mite un correcto posicionamiento de la torre misma sobre el
borde de la llanta, operar del siguiente modo:
a- llevar el brazo (1, Fig. O) en posición de trabajo.
b- llevar el comprime-talón (4, Fig. O) en correspondencia con
el neumático y cerca de la torre; accionando la palanca (3, Fig.
E) hacer presión sobre el neumático mismo en modo de crear el
espacio suficiente para un correcto posicionamiento de la torre
y para la sucesiva introducción de la palanca alza-talón.
ATENCION!
Accionando el comprime-talón contra el
neumático se crea un potencial punto de
aplastamiento de las manos entre el
dispositivo mismo y la llanta.
Operar por lo tanto con extrema atención
manteniendo las manos lo más lejos
posible de la llanta.
c- bloquear la torre, activar la palanca alza-talón, luego alzar
el brazo del TC/MDB.
2) Con la palanca (3, Fig. P) alzar el brazo (1, Fig. P) y girarlo
llevando el comprime-talón (4, Fig. P) en posición diametral-
mente opuesta de la torre.
3) Accionar la palanca (3, Fig. P) para bajar el brazo y hacer
presión sobre el neumático hasta llevar el talón en coinciden-
cia con el canal de la llanta (ver Fig. P).
Esto permite al talón de no estar en excesiva tensión y de subir
más fácilmente sobre la torre.
4) Ayudándose con la palanca (11, Fig. Q) llevar el talón del
neumático sobre la parte con forma de uña de la torre.
5) Elevar y girar al externo, el brazo del TC/MDB para liberar el
plano de trabajo, luego girar el autocentrante para hacer sa-
lir el talón externo.
