9.3 MOUNTING
1) Clamp the rim on the table top and mount the outer bead
as described in the instruction manual of the tyre changer.
WARNING!
The positioning and the removal of the operating
arm of the tyre changer from the edge of the
rim can be carried on only after having
brought PT 100 outwards to its non-working
position.
2) Position the bead pressing device (4, Fig. W) near the mount/
demount tool (about 3-4 cm as shown in Fig. W).
Lower it until the inner bead is level with the centre well.
WARNING: If the tyre bead fails to "rise" on the toolhead, the
operation can be facilitated by using the bead lifting lever (see
Fig. Y).
WARNING!
Bringing the bead-pressing tool against the
tyre is hazardous: the operator's hands
could be crushed between the tool and
the rim.
Be careful and keep your hands away
from the rim.
3) As the turntable turns the bead pressing device (4, Fig. W)
will revolve with the tyre and keep the bead in the well. The
second bead will thus be mounted on the rim without any ef-
fort or danger to the operator and without damaging the tyre.
N.B.: Accessories BPT (see "RUN FLAT WHEELS" section) and BPR
are available on request for wheels (particularly lowered ones,
those with very hard beads, etc.) where the inner bead is very
difficult to mount.
To correctly mount and use the BPR roller, refer to the instruc-
tions in the manual supplied with the roller itself.
9.3 MONTAGE
1) Bloquez la jante sur le plateau auto-centrant et effectuez le
montage du talon extérieur comme indiqué sur le manuel d'uti-
lisation du démonte-pneus.
ATTENTION!
Les opérations de positionnement et l'éloignement
du bras opérationnel du démonte-pneus du bord
de la jante doivent être effectuées seulement
après avoir amener les bras du PT 100 à
l'extérieur en position «hors travail».
2) Positionnez le pousse-talon (4, Fig. W) près de la tête (à envi-
ron 3-4 centimètres comme illustré dans la Fig. W) et abaissez-
le jusqu'à amener le talon à la hauteur du creux.
ATTENTION: Si le talon du pneumatique ne «monte» pas sous la
tourelle, facilitez cette opération à l'aide du levier lève-talon
(voir Fig. Y).
ATTENTION !
En actionnant le pousse-talon contre le
pneumatique on créé une condition de
danger potentielle d'écrasement des mains
entre le dispositif et la jante.
Soyez très prudent en tenant les mains
le plus loin possible de la jante.
3) En tournant l'autocentrant le pousse-talon (4, Fig. W) tour-
nera avec le pneumatique en le maintenant dans le creux et
en permettant l'introduction du deuxième talon sans efforts ni
risques pour l'opérateur et sans abîmer le pneumatique.
N.B.: Dans le cas de roues (particulièrement surbaissées, avec
talon très dur, etc.) pour lesquelles le montage du talon inté-
rieur s'avère particulièrement difficile, sont disponibles, sur de
mande BPT (voir paragraphe "ROUES RUN FLAT") et BPR.
Pour un montage correct et l'utilisation du rouleau BPR consul-
ter la notice qui accompagne le rouleau.
MONTAJE
9.3
1) Bloquear la llanta en el autocentrante y efectuar el monta-
je del talón externo como se indica en el manual de uso de la
desmontadora.
ATENCION!
Las operaciones de posicionamiento y alejamiento
del brazo operante de la desmontadora del
borde de la llanta se deben efectuar solamente
luego de haber llevado los brazos del PT 100
al externo, en posición de "reposo".
2) Posicionar el comprime-talón (4, Fig. W) cerca de la torre (a
aprox. 3-4 cm como se ve en la Fig. W) y bajarlo hasta llevar el
talón interno a la altura del canal.
ATENCION: Si el talón del neumático no "sube" en la torre, fa-
cilitar esta operación sirviéndose de la palanca alza-talón (ver
Fig. Y).
ATENCION!
Accionando el comprime-talón contra el
neumático se crea un potencial punto de
aplastamiento de las manos entre el
dispositivo mismo y la llanta.
Operar por lo tanto con extrema atención
manteniendo las manos lo más lejos
posible de la llanta.
3) Girando el autocentrante el dispositivo comprime-talón (4,
Fig. W) girará conjuntamente con el neumático manteniendo
el talón en el canal y permitiendo la reintroducción sin esfuer-
zo y sin riesgos para el operador o de daños para el neumáti-
co.
NOTA: En el caso de ruedas (particularmente rebajadas, con
el talón muy duro, etc) donde el montaje del talón interno re-
sulta muy difícil, se ofrecen, a pedido, los accesorios BPT (ver
párrafo "RUEDAS RUN FLAT") y BPR.
Para un montaje y empleo correctos del rodillo BPR consultar
lo expuesto en el manual que acompaña dicho accesorio.
