5.3 ETHERNET CONNECTION

The internal webserver (HTML) can be used for a simple Guarita IP's configuration, using a Web
Browser. Consult 14.
The physical connection between Guarita IP and the computer is made according TIA-568A standard,
crimping pin to pin (the crimping must be identical in both cable extremities), as the image 5.3.a. To the
TCP/IP network the indicated cables are the UTP CAT5 and CAT6 cables.

6. RECEIVERS CONNECTION

Every Guarita IP can receive up to 8 Linear-HCS receivers of each type, interconnected
between each other and with the o Guarita IP through the RJ11 4x4 connectors.
Independently of the receivers' number or connection sequence, it is going to remain 2
points in the beginning and in the end of the connection, where 100R end-of-line resistors
must be inserted in the extremities (provided with the Guarita IP).
Indicated cable: AFT 2X22 AWG CABLE for distances up to 1640 ft (available in Linear-
HCS).
In case of CAN communication difficulties even using the indicated cable, ground each point
of the network (each tip of the cable) connecting the mesh on the condominium's ground
panel.
