12. SYNCHRONIZATION OF TWO GUARITA IP IN THE SAME CAN
NETWORK
When there are two Guarita IP working in the same CAN network, to
display the events correctly in both devices, it is necessary perform a
synchronization by a USB Flash Drive. To perform the operation, follow
the procedure:
- Choose one of the equipment (Guarita IP) to record the setting
manually and / or devices that will be copied posteriorly to the another
Guarita IP (the first called as "Mestre - Master" and the second as
"Escravo - Slave").
- Perform the setting and save it. In case of new devices recording,
register the new one and then sync the receivers normally before starting
the procedure. Finishing the process in the Guarita IP "Mestre - Master",
insert the Flash Drive into USB port, access the LEVEL 1 programming
menu, 10, and select "P06 – BACKUP, image 12.a. Backup the data to
the Pen Drive and wait until the backup confirmation message be
displayed, image 12.b. Press the ENTER key, turn the programming key

to the "OFF" position, image 9.1.b, and remove the USB Flash Drive.
- Insert the Flash Drive into the "Slave" Guarita IP USB port, access the
"A08 - Restore" option, image 12.d, select the correspondent backup,
identified by the label that was recorded with the hour/date and the Labels
of "Master" Guarita IP lines 1 and 2 in the moment of the backup, image
12.e. Execute the data restore, turn the programming key to the "OFF"
position, image 9.1.b, press the ESC key, image 12.f, and take the
Flash Drive off. After this procedure the generated events by registered
devices activation must appear in both "Guarita IP".
NOTE: If registering a new device or changing any information in one
of the "Guarita IP", repeat the previously described procedure.
13. EVENTS DISPLAY
The stored events in the Guarita IP internal memory, can be briefly displayed one by one through the
device screen. For this, press the "RESET" key 3 times in 2 seconds and the last registered event will
be displayed. Navigate by other events using the Guarita IP directional keys (↑ ↓). For a more detailed
event report, use a PC with the Linear-HCS free software installed (available in
hcs.com.br).
