Commissioning and operation
Before the machine or system protected using the
non-contact safety switch T4000 Compact is
placed in operation for the first time, it must be
checked and approved by qualified safety person-
nel. The test must be documented.
After any change to the non-contact safety switch
T4000 Compact or its components, or to the pro-
tective device monitored, or after test and repair
work, the safety function must again be checked
and approved by qualified safety personnel.
The test must be documented.
7.1

Teach-in function

The actuator must be assigned to the evaluation
unit with the Teach-in function before the system
forms a functional unit.
During the 'Teach-in' operation, the safety outputs
and the door signal output OUT are set to LOW, i.e.
the system is in the safe state.
