Commissioning and operation
7.1.1 Teach-in function for first actuator
(condition as delivered)
Switch on the operating voltage of the evaluation
unit; the green LED begins to flash rapidly (approx.
4 Hz).
Bring the actuator near to the read head, observe
a distance of < S
the green LED flashes slowly (approx. 1 Hz).
After 60 seconds the green LED goes out, the
Teach-in process is finished.
Then switch off the operating voltage of the
evaluation unit for at least 10 seconds to activate
the learned actuator code in the evaluation unit.

7.1.2 Teach-in function for a new actuator

Switch on the operating voltage of the evaluation
unit.
Bring the new actuator near to the read head,
observe a distance of < S
starts, the green LED flashes slowly (approx.
1 Hz).
After 60 seconds the green LED goes out, the
Teach-in process is finished; the new code is
saved, the old code is deactivated.
Then switch off the operating voltage of the eva-
luation unit for at least 10 seconds to activate the
learned actuator code in the evaluation unit.
It is not possible to teach the same actuator on the
same evaluation unit more than once.
The number of valid Teach-in operations on one
evaluation unit is limited to a maximum of 8.
The evaluation unit can be operated only with the
last actuator taught.
