Button
Description
"Assisted positioning" area
The following buttons allow the operator to move parts of the unit. When these buttons are used, the operator must:
Closely monitor the patient and immediately release the button to stop movement if there is a
risk of the equipment hitting the patient.
Prevent the patient from assuming incorrect positions (putting hands or other body parts in
inappropriate areas) or moving out of the examination area.
Button used to move up hyperion along the vertical axis.
When pressed, it moves unit up by 1 mm.
If the button is held down, the unit moves up at a constant speed of 16mm/s (after briefly
accelerating 1 s).
Button used to move down hyperion along the vertical axis.
When pressed, it moves unit down by 1 mm.
If the button is held down, the unit moves down at a constant speed of 16mm/s (after briefly
accelerating 1 s).
"Reset" button: if pressed once with Hyperion not in "Ready" state, the rotating arm moves to the
home position in a continuous movement. If pressed with the machine in "Ready" state, the
rotating arm moves to the initial position of the selected examination so as to reduce the
preparatory movements before X-ray emission.
To stop the movement, simply press the button again.
Hold down the button to simulate the procedure without X-rays (5.5 Dummy run).

The arm moves 1mm each time the button is pressed: holding down the button has no effects.

The control panel has 3 led indicators that show the status of hyperion. In particular, if the machine is on, led
indicator (
) will come on. On the other hand, a green led indicator signals the machine is ready to be used with
X-rays (Ready,
