The control system can be unlocked again as follows:
Repeatedly press the <Fx> button until <CODE> appears on the display.

Turn the left-hand knob to select the set unlocking number.

7.14 Feeding the welding wire
Risk of injury from pointed welding wire
If the pointed welding wire is fed, severe puncture injuries may result.
► Do not look directly into the opening of the contact tip to check the wire feed.
► Keep your face and limbs at a safe distance from the wire guide.
7.15 Adjusting the wire spool brake
The wire mandrel comes with a wire spool brake that prevents the wire spool from keeping running when
the wire feed motor stops.
7.16 Performing a gas test
WARNING
Press the torch trigger or the <Wire feed> button on the

wire feed unit's control box until the welding wire is fed
through the welding torch cable assembly.
Open the wire feed unit's cover.

Adjust the braking effect of the wire spool brake by

turning the wire mandrel's hexagon socket screw. Only
tighten the wire mandrel's hexagon socket screw enough
to prevent the welding wire from slipping.
Close the wire feed unit's cover.

► Press the <Gas test> button on the control box.
The gas valve opens for 20 seconds and closes
automatically. Alternatively, press the <Gas test> button
again to cancel the gas test.
