4.1.4 Assembly Instructions for Solid Shaft
Encoders
a) Fasten the encoder using three M3 screws in the tapped
holes provided in the flange.
b) Tighten the screws with a 1 Nm [0.74 ft-lb] torque.
c) Check the shafts for offset. The maximum permissible tol-
erances depend on the selected shaft coupling.
d) Connect the encoder and drive shafts via a tolerance-com-
pensating element (coupling).
