Both the ambient temperature and the mechanical and elec-
trical self-heating are included when measuring the temperat-
ure on the flange.. Therefore, the temperature measured on
the flange gives the operating temperature of the encoder.
Temperature of connectable components
When selecting accessories and connection technology, pay
attention to the max. temperature of these components, es-
pecially the connection technology.
Due to the cable material (PVC as standard), encoders with
direct cable outlet can only be used up to -30°C [-22°F]. If you
need a wider temperature range, please contact us, see Con-
tact [} 60].
