8.7 Modulation of the PdC compressor

The Heat Pump compressor comes into operation following a call from the
Ambient Thermostat or for the production of Domestic Hot Water.
The compressor modulation takes place on 10 frequency steps to reach and
maintain the target water temperature.
Target temperature is visible on Parameter L561. The reference temperature
is visible on Parameter L562 and coincides with the temperature of the
outlet water.

The compressor modulation is directly proportional to the 0÷10V signal
present at input 100 (C+ / C-) of the TERMINAL BLOCK PCB

The current frequency step required by the PdC is visible in Parameter L261,
or, on the main display. Press the keys
main views of: Clock, Water outlet Temp and compressor Step.
NOTE:
The required frequency step is reprocessed by the PdC and, according
to the operating limits of the same, converted into the actual working
frequency of the compressor.
8.8 Compressor frequency limitation

The input 103 (F+ / F-) of the TERMINAL BLOCK PCB is configured as
Compressor Frequency Limitation, so:

The compressor frequency limitation is active, therefore the modulation
step cannot exceed the maximum value set in Parameter S604.
NOTE:
There are operating conditions in which the frequency is automatically li-
mited.
The current maximum compressor step is visible in the L600 Parameter.

8.9 Heating of domestic hot water (DHW)

The input 100 (C+ / C-) of the TERMINAL BLOCK PCB is configured to con-
nect one temperature sensor 10 k at 25°C (Code 07245210) as a referen-
ce for the DHW.

The PdC automatically recognizes the presence of the DHW sensor. The-
refore, until the sensor is connected, the DHW heating is not operational
and the AL04 alarm is not displayed.
The DHW temperature is displayed on Parameter L164.
NOTE:
The maximum probe INSTALLATION distance is 20m.
The DHW consent management logic is as follows:
- DHW activation:
When the DHW temperature drops below the Set (Par. C703).
- DHW deactivation:
When the DHW temperature rises above the Set (Par. C703) + the Diffe-
rential (Par. C704).
When the DHW consent is active, the SMART-MT icon no. 3 lights up.
NOTE:
Factory, if PdC is off (Remote Off) or standby (
however ON (C402=1).
To inactivate it, configure Parameter C402=0.
