8. USER SECTION: OPERATION
8.9.1 DHW heating with Eco Hot Water (C407=0)
Recipes 1 and 10
If you want to use the Eco Hot Water to heat the DHW, configure the
Parameter C407=0.
The DHW temperature sensor, connected to input 100 (C+ / C-) of the
TERMINAL BLOCK PCB, must be installed in the Eco Hot Water respecting
the following requirements:
The sensor must be positioned at the height of the electric heater.
The sensor must be inserted between the insulation and the metal
surface.
Make sure the sensor has good thermal contact with the metal surface.
Conductive paste is recommended.
The output 202 (M1 / M2) of the TERMINAL BLOCK PCB is configured to
give consent to DHW production, then connect it to the 7 / 8 terminals of
the Eco Hot Water.

The status of the Eco Hot Water consent is visible on Parameter L247.
On the Eco Hot Water set the following parameters:
r03=5°C
Water setpoint = 60°C
8.9.2 DHW heating with the HP (C407 = 1)
Recipes 1, 2, 10 and 13
If you want to use the Heat Pump for DHW, configure Parameter C407=1.
The voltage output 204 (W1) of the TERMINAL BLOCK PCB is configured
to consent to DHW production, then connect it to the brown 3-way valve
cable.

8.9.3 DHW heating with Eco Hot Water + addition
with PdC (C407=2)
Recipes 10
If you use an Eco Hot Water with a supplementary heat exchanger, you
can connect the Heat Pump to this. In normal operation, the Eco Hot Water
heats the DHW to meet the two daily requests (see Febos-Crono manual),
but if the domestic water temperature drops below maintenance, the Heat
Pump also comes into operation as an addition.
To do this, configure Parameter C407=2.
8.9.4 DHW additional Electrical Heater
Recipes 2 and 13
The voltage output 200 (R1) of the TERMINAL BLOCK PCB is configured to
supply (phase L) an DHW additional electric heater.

The DHW additional electric heater is activated with a delay time with
respect to the DHW consent (Par. C707), while deactivating when the
DHW temperature reaches the Set (Par. C708).
NOTE:
Factory C707=0, this means that this function is not active.
The status of the DHW additional electric heater consent is visible in
Parameter L248. In addition, icon no. 4 lights up on the SMART-MT.
