Prevent any unintentional switch-on. When handling or carrying the tool, make sure that the switch at OFF
position before connecting it to the batteries.
The lit LED indicates that the tool is ready for operation.
The flashing LED indicates that the tool is blocked due to overheating of the motor or exceeding the maximum
power threshold. In this condition, to reactivate the tool, switch it off and on again using the ON/OFF switch.
The product must be inspected before use and in any case after events such as dropping or impact in order to
identify any damage.

Pre-post work warnings
Do not carry the tool by the power cable.
When the tool is not in use, turn off the ON/OFF switch to avoid unnecessary battery consumption and/or
component deterioration.
Carry the tool with the bar facing backwards, with the bar cover always on in any situation where the tool is not
in use, and with the power cable detached from the connector.
Before connecting the power cable, make sure that the connector has clean contacts (no dirt or other obstruc-
tive material), that they are dry and free of oxidation.
Disconnect the connector from the battery pack before carrying out any adjustments or routine and extraordi-
nary maintenance.
When sharpening and servicing the chain, follow the chain manufacturer's instructions as stated in this manual.
Only use the tool with the accessories specified by the Manufacturer.
Before any routine maintenance operations, read this manual carefully. For maintenance activities that are not
indicated in the manual, please contact the manufacturer's C.A.T. (Technical Assistance Centre).
Maintain all labels and pictograms on the tool in a perfectly legible and undamaged condition, with particular
reference to those relating to danger and safety signs.
2.4.
Maintenance warnings
CAUTION!
Before carrying out any maintenance or mechanical adjustment of the tool, it is imperative to wear PPE
such as safety shoes, overalls, puncture-proof gloves and goggles to protect the face.
Any repair or maintenance work may be carried out by duly authorised personnel who have the required pro-
fessional profile (mechanical maintenance technician and/or electrical maintenance technician) as well as the
necessary physical and intellectual requirements.
Chain adjustment, oil topping-up and tool cleaning can be carried out by the maintenance technician and/or
operator.
It is a mandatory requirement to disconnect the tool from the power source before any adjustment and/or
maintenance work.
During operation, maintenance and/or repair work, unauthorised persons must keep a distance of at least 5
metres from the operating range of the tool.
Only qualified maintenance personnel may remove the safety devices (if any) when extraordinary maintenance
is to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard all personnel and the tool. The safety devices should
be re-activated as soon as maintenance work has been completed and always before new use.
All the maintenance operations which are not described in this manual have to be performed by the manufac-
turer's C.A.T.
The maintenance, repair and troubleshooting work must be concluded with the verification of the correct func-
tioning of the machine and all its safety devices.
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the tool can be started again only if duly authorised by a
mechanical maintenance technician, who must make sure that:

work has been completed;
-
the equipment works perfectly;
-
the safety devices are activated;
-
no one is working on the equipment.
