6.1.
Routine maintenance
CAUTION!
•
The tool must be kept in perfect working order at all times, including the cutting parts and its guards
•
All the maintenance operations which are not described in this manual have to be performed in CAT.
•
The routine maintenance operations may be carried out by the operators.
CAUTION!
Use only original Campagnola spare parts for maintenance.
CAUTION!
All maintenance work must be carried out with the power cable disconnected from the battery.
Any intervention and/or maintenance activities on the battery are prohibited except as indicated in the
battery manual, to which reference is made for all prescribed and permitted activities on the battery.
6.1.1.
General information
Routine maintenance operations may be carried out by the operators or maintenance techni-
cians.
Prior to any routine maintenance activity, it is mandatory to:
•
Switch off the ON/OFF switch (5).
•
Disconnect the power cable (13).
•
Place the battery in a safe position.
•
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves.
6.1.2.
Chain tension adjustment
Carry out the following operations as listed below:
•
Loosen nuts (14) and (25).
•
Turn the screw (17) clockwise to stretch the chain (16) or anticlockwise to slacken it.
•
For correct chain tension keep the teeth 2 mm from the bar (15) as shown in the picture
•
Tighten nuts (14) and (25).
