Connecting the Handpiece – STERILE ZONE
Sterile operator: Use this procedure to connect the handpiece in the sterile zone .
Use aseptic technique . Insert the tube labelled "SHAVER" onto the handpiece suction port .

Connecting the Cannula – STERILE ZONE
Sterile operator: Use this procedure to connect the Cannula in the sterile zone .
Use aseptic technique . Insert the tube labelled "CANNULA" onto the Cannula suction port .

Tubing Connections for SOLO Mode

To operate the pump in SOLO Mode (irrigation and handpiece control only):

Before operation:

1 . Make sure the pump tubing is connected as described in in this chapter .
2 . Connect the Inflow Tubing as described in Section 5 .1 .
3 . Connect the Intermediary Tubing as described in Section 5 .2 .
4 . Refer to Section 6 .4 for SOLO Mode Operating instructions .

End of Operation

AT THE END OF THE OPERATION, REMOVE AND DISCARD ALL TUBING.
NOTE: The Inflow tubing (Ref . 284508) may be re-used during the same surgical day ONLY
when used with the Intermediary Tube with One-Way Valve (Ref . 281142) or Outflow Tubing
with One-Way Valve (Ref . 284649) .
11 . Insert the waste end of the outflow tubing into waste collection .
