Basic truck transport safety
IMPORTANT The mast must only be disassembled by the manufacturer's authorized
service department.
To ensure the safe transport of a disassembled EKS 314, use the prescribed attach-
ment points for fastening/quick release belts.
NOTICE
Only use belts with a rated capacity of > 5 tons.
IMPORTANT When transporting, always relieve the drive wheel by placing the entire
surface of a wooden beam (8) underneath the counterweight (minimum
chassis width). In addition, secure the load wheels with blocks or chocks (10).
IMPORTANT If the truck's battery is supplied in the chassis, disconnect the battery.
Fastening/quick release belts should be attached to at least 4 different trailer or trans-
port truck / industrial truck eyes (7).
Belts placed over sharp edges must be protected by a suitable support material , e. g.
foam.
To ensure secure transport of an EKS 314, use the following prescribed attachment
points for fastening/quick release belts:
– The fastening/quick release belt (9) is tensioned above the battery compartment.
To do this, remove the side parts and pack them separately.
IMPORTANT Note the cable routing and cover sharp edges with a suitable material.
– The fastening/quick release belt (11) above the upper chassis section is routed be-
hind the two mast attachment bars (6).
