2.2.1 Additional notes for applications for
devices with ATEX markings
For T4000-1RBB01 evaluation devices, T4000-
DNBC read heads and T4000-1KBB actuators the
following also applies:
–EN 60079-15, Electrical apparatus for explosive
gas atmospheres, Type of protection „n"
–ATEX markings
For evaluation device T4000-1RBB01
– II (3) G [Ex nL] IIC
Not suitable for installation in potentially explo-
sive atmospheres.
For read heads T4000-DNBC
– II 3 G –Ex nL IIC T70 °C
For actuators T4000-1KBB
– II 3 G –Ex nL IIC T70 °C
T4000-RBB01 series evaluation devices are only
allowed to be used in conjunction with the T4000-
DNBC read heads and the T4000-1KBB actuators
that carry an ATEX marking of at least the same
category.
The safety switches are only allowed to be used in
conjunction with related connecting cable from
SICK, see chapter 8.2 "Accessories".
