3. Presentation
Available versions:
With gearbox and hydraulic outlet chute - PTO transmission to the rotor
by cardan shaft - deflector and outlet chute rotation driven by hydraulic cylinder.
3.3- Functioning
HARVESTING:
The harvester is coupled to the tractor through the three-point hydraulic lift
system and driven through the power take-off. As you progress through the
crop, knives mounted on the four front drums cut through the plants that are
in the working range of the head. The plants are gathered by the drums to
the platform, where two front feeding drums collect and two rear rollers lead
them to the chopper rotor.
PROCESSING:
The harvested plants are led by the rollers against the rotor, whose knives
simultaneously chopp and launch the forage through a outlet chute.
The chop size is defined by the number of rotor knives and/or by the speed
of the feed rollers, changed by exchanging a pair of gears of the transmission
that move the rollers.
DISCHARGE:
The forage launched by the rotors is driven through a outlet chute and directed
by a deflector (jet breaker) into a forage wagon that travels coupled to the
harvester.
3.4- Required Tractor
The choice of tractor must take into account the hydraulic system lifting capacity
and the power required by the machine. It is recommended to use a category 2
tractor, with power from 90 to 130 hp in the power take-off (540 rpm), double
clutch with independent drive (PTO and engine).
The correct ratio between tractor size and machine weight ensures safety
during braking and maneuvering. The load lifted must not exceed the maximum
authorized load indicated in the tractor manual used (see machine weight under
'Technical Characteristics').
