4. Clean with a steel brush. If the insulator is damaged, replace the spark plug.
5. Measure the spark plug clearance with a feeler gauge. The room should be 0.7-0.8 mm. If adjustment is necessary, carefully bend the side electrode.
6. Check that the spark plug gasket is in good condition and replace if necessary. Screw in the spark plug. If a new spark plug is used, screw it in by 1/2 turn
tighter. If a used spark plug is reinstalled, screw by1/ 8-1/4 turn.

CAUTION:
The spark plug must be tightened securely, otherwise it may become very hot and damage the engine.

Use only the recommended spark plug or a proper equivalent. Incorrect spark plug temperature range can damage the engine.

ADJUSTING THE IDLE RUN
1. Start and warm the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
2. Manipulate the throttle adjusting screw. Standard idle operation: 1700 ± 150 rpm.
