5 connect the FM antenna(s).
a) For best reception
Connect the tuner to an outdoor
antenna with the 75-ohm coaxial
cable with an IEC standarrd socket
(not supplied).
ST-S361:
For example, when using an outdoor
antenna, plug the connector into the
A jack. When using a cable antenna,
plug the connector into the B jack.

proper antenna, see page 30.
b) For temporary use
Connect the FM wire antenna to
the FM 75 Q terminal and extend
horizontally.
6 Connect the AM antenna.
AM reception is adequate with the
supplied AM loop antenna. However,
connection of an insulated wire antenna
is also possible for areas with difficult
AM reception.
a) AM loop antenna (supplied)
Attach the two wires to the rh and
AM ANTENNA terminals.
Experiment with the positioning of
the antenna for optimum reception.
b) AM antenna extension
For best reception, attacha
length of
insulated wire (6 - 15 m long) to the
AM ANTENNA terminals. In this
case, do not remove the loop antenna.
Otherwise, the reception is not
possible.
7 Plug the power cord into an AC
outlet.
For ease of operation, plug the tuner into
a switched AC outlet on the back of the
amplifier (a)) and always keep the tuner
turned on. This allows you to turn the
power of the tuner on and off by using
the power switch of the amplifier.
If you want to have the tunerswitch on
automatically at a preset time, connect it
to the optional Sony Audio Timer.

to select the TUNER function onthe
amplifier.
