NOTES ON MOISTURE
CONDENSATION
If the unit is brought directly from a cold to a
warm lacation, moisture may condense inside
the unit, on the surface or the tape or on the
lens. In this condition, the tape may adhere to
the head drum and be damaged or the unit may
not operate correctly. To prevent possible
damage under these circumstances, the unit is
furnished with moisture sensors.
Moisture is present inside the unit wher:
© The DEW lamp lights up outside the
recorder.
* The DEW Indicator blinks inside the
viewfinder.
No function except for cassette ejection will
work.

Eject the cassette If present, and turn off the
unit and leave it with the cassette holder
open (at feast for one hour).
The unit can be used again If the upper lid of
the cassette compartment shuts
automatically when you push the PUSH mark
on the front fid.
if moisture condensation occurs on the tape
surface
There are no caution indicators, but no
function except for cassette ejection will
work,

Eject the cassette and let it dry thoroughly
before resuming use.
If moisture condensation occurs on the lens
there are no cation indicators, but the fens
becomes dim. Trun off the power and leave
the unit unused at feast for one hour.
Note
Do not push the upper lid of the cassette
compartment forcibly when it doesn's shut
automatically. Let the unit dry out a@ bit longer.
