5. Insert the O-ring dia. 10 x 3 mm (item 8) in the
lubricating oil inlet bore of the common rail pump
(only necessary for CP 3.4 common rail pumps with
lubricating oil supply).

6. Attach the clamping flange (item 7) to the common
rail pump.
7. Insert the common rail pump with the clamping
flange in the clamping bracket (item 6) and secure.
8. Mount the drive flange (item 5) on the drive shaft of
the common rail pump. Tightening torque of clamp-
ing nut: 80 +10 Nm.
9. Position the common rail pump on the EPS mount-
ing bracket.
10. Connect the drive flange (item 5) of the common rail
pump to the drive coupling (item 4) and secure with
the two bolts. Tightening torque: 35 ±2 Nm
11. Attach the clamping bracket (item 6) to the mount-
ing bracket by way of the two bolts.
12. Slide the guard ring (item 2) over the drive coupling
and secure.

1. Attach the intermediate flange (item 3) to the fly-
wheel of the EPS. Bolt tightening torques:
M10 = 55 ±2 Nm
M12 = 95 ±2 Nm
