Read and follow the instructions for the drill guide
and drill bit.
2. Remove the GRYPHON BR Anchor from its
package using standard sterile techniques.
3. Establish the axial alignment of the inserter to the
hole. Insert the anchor into the drilled hole (through
the drill guide) to full depth by malleting on the
inserter handle until the inserter laser line is aligned
with the drill guide:
a. Arthroscopically – inserter laser line appears
in distal window of drill guide.
b. External to joint space – inserter laser line
aligned with proximal end of drill guide.
4. Open slide cover on the inserter handle and
remove suture card.
5. Remove inserter from anchor by pulling straight
back on handle.
6. Apply tension (normal force) on suture lengths.
EXCESSIVE FORCE MAY OVERLOAD THE
ANCHOR OR SUTURE.
7. Use the sutures provided for soft tissue fixation.
Threaded Technique – Gryphon-T
1. Through drill guide, drill a hole in the bone at the
desired location using the GRYPHON drill bit. Read
and follow the instructions for the drill guide and
drill bit.
2. Insert the tap through the guide, position the tap in
the hole and rotate the tap in a clockwise direction
until the tap's laser line is aligned with the drill guide:
a. Arthroscopically – tap laser line appears in
distal window of drill guide.
b. External to joint space – tap laser line aligned
with proximal end of drill guide.
3. Rotate the tap in a counterclockwise direction to
remove.
4. Remove the GRYPHON-T BR Anchor from its
package using standard sterile techniques.
5. Establish the axial alignment of the inserter to the
hole. Insert the anchor into the hole (through a
drill guide) by rotating the GRYPHON BR inserter
handle in a clockwise direction until the inserter
laser line is aligned with the drill guide:
a. Arthroscopically – inserter laser line appears
in distal window of drill guide.
b. External to joint space – inserter laser line
aligned with proximal end of drill guide.
6. Open slide cover on the inserter handle and
remove suture card.
7. Remove inserter from anchor by pulling straight
back on handle.
8. Apply tension (normal force) on suture lengths.

STORAGE
Store below 25° C (77°F). Do not use after expiration date.
STERILIZATION
The GRYPHON BR suture anchor is provided sterile.
DO NOT RESTERILIZE.
A DePuy Mitek ANCHOR MUST NEVER BE REUSED.
