Using the System Menu
• The System Info window opens.

• S/W Version: The firmware version on the
system.
• H/W Version: The hardware version of the
system.
• Video Signal Type: NTSC or PAL,
depending on your region.
• Disk Capacity: The size (in gigabytes) of the
internal HDD.
• IP Address: The network address of your
system.
• MAC address: The physical address of your
system on the network.
• DDNS Domain Name: Your Lorex DDNS
domain.

• RTSP Service Port: The port number that
the system uses to connect remotely via the
client software.
• Web Server Port: The port number that the
system uses to connect to connect
remotely via the Internet or web browsers.
3. Click the X on the top-right corner of the
window to exit.
System Name
To change the system name:
1. Double-click SYSTEM NAME to open the
Virtual Keyboard.
2. Enter an alphanumeric name/title for your
system (max. 15 characters), click OK to
save your settings. The system name will

be the name/ID of the system on your
network.

Upgrading Firmware
Firmware updates may be released
periodically to enhance system performance
and add extra features.

To upgrade the system firmware:
1. Visit
www.lorextechnology.com
the product page for your system.
Download the latest firmware update, if
available.
2. Copy the firmware to a blank USB flash
drive.
3. Connect the USB flash drive to one of the
USB ports on the front panel of the
system.
4. Open the SYSTEM MANAGEMENT menu.
Under F/W UPGRADE, click UPGRADE.
• The Firmware Upgrade window opens.
5. Select the device and click on the firmware
file name and then click UPGRADE.
Once the upgrade is complete, the system will
reset.
