Using the System Menu
domain name is tomsmith.lorexddns.net,
you only need to enter tomsmith in the text
field.
5. Under PASSWORD, enter your DDNS
password.
6. Click the STATUS button to verify the
DDNS connection.
If you receive a Failure warning,

please check your network connections and
ensure you have entered the correct DDNS

7. Click APPLY to save your settings or click
CANCEL to restore defaults.

E-MAIL

This system has the ability to automatically
send email when an event is detected. For
example, if the system detects Motion, the
system can send an email notification to your
mobile device.
For details, see "Appendix D: Enabling Email
Notification" on page 148.
To configure email settings:
1. Click the E-MAIL tab on the left.

2. Double-click the field beside SERVER to
open the Virtual Keyboard and enter your
email server address (ie. a SMTP address).

user name for the email server.
6. Double-click the field beside PASSWORD
to open the Virtual Keyboard and enter the
password for the email server.
7. Double-click the field beside FROM to
open the Virtual Keyboard and enter the
sender email address.
8. Double-click the field beside TEST E-MAIL
to open the Virtual Keyboard and enter a
test email address.
9. Click the TEST button to send a test email
to the Test Email address.
10. Click APPLY to save your settings or click
CANCEL to restore defaults.
• By default, it is recommended to use the
Lorex DDNS server (leave Default Server
enabled).
