Preparation for Use
For compressed air line breathing apparatus of the DSL ASV series, see chapter 3.1.1, also observe
the instructions in the relevant operating manual for the related self-contained breathing apparatus!
It is assumed that the apparatus is inspected as described in paragraph 9 of this operating manual, and is ready
for use.

Use
8.1.
Handling the Medium Pressure Safety Coupling
To connect the coupling: Push the plug nipple into the coupling till it clicks into place.
To disconnect the coupling: Push the plug nipple into the coupling while pulling the coupling sleeve
backwards. The plug nipple can then be pulled out.
Important!
Pressurised hose. Especially with longer lengths of hose, hold the plug nipple side firmly, otherwise
escaping air can cause the hose to beat!
8.2.
Compressed Air Supply Systems
8.2.1 Breathable Air Network
Open the air supply and check the operating (medium) pressure.
The technical specifications (medium pressure) of the compressed air line breathing apparatus should be
observed (see paragraphs 5.2.1/5.2.2).
Connect the compressed air supply hose (this can be coupled/uncoupled even under pressure) see
paragraph 8.1.
