Divider Piece (Y-piece)

The divider piece can be used for the pressure reducer or the breathable air network. It is used to supply two
wearers with breathable air at the same time.
 The divider is fitted with a long plug nipple for connection, for example, to the compressed air supply or the
compressed air supply hose.
 It is also fitted with two safety couplings with non-return valve for connecting compressed air supply hoses.

MASS trolley system

The MASS trolley system consists of a metallic structure mounted on wheels and cylinders filled with breathable
air are secured to it. The cylinders are connected with high pressure flexible hoses. The MASS pressure reducer
is mounted on the structure with a supply hose[s] to connect directly to a hose coiler [s] mounted on the structure.
A flexible hose is stored on the hose coiler and supplies the airline of a user when connected to the pressure
reducer
EN 14593-1 requires that the warning device shall be activated, when the residual volume of breathable air is
lower than 300 litres for each user. Therefore MASS systems can be used with the following restrictions
 maximum of 4 operators see Table 1 for clarification
 When supplying more than one operator split the supply line using the Y piece which is equipped with quick
connection safety valves. An individual operator can then connect/disconnect at any time without affecting
other users.
 MASS and MASS 50 II systems must always have two cylinders with the same operating pressure
 Depending on cylinders used and under the assumption that the wearer's air demand is 40 l/minute, the
MASS trolley using two 9 l / 300 bar cylinders has an operation time of 135 minutes for one wearer.
MASS 50 II version, has an operation time of 375 minutes for two operators using 2 50l / 300 bar cylinders.

 Changing of cylinders should only be carried out by trained and competent personnel. Always discharge the
high pressure hose before disconnection It is recommended that 50 l cylinders are always handled by a
minimum of 2 people
 With twin cylinder MASS models it is possible for trained and competent personnel to replacement an
individual cylinder whilst the unit continues supply air to the user from the other.
