The Joining station allows you to attach workpiece caps and EasyKits to the MPS
workpiece bases. In order to attach an EasyKit, you will need to retrofit the station to
use the parallel gripper with the gripper jaws instead of the suction cup.
The Joining station combines the handling functions "inspection" and "joining".
The inspection function assigns certain properties to differently oriented workpieces by acquiring data
(actual values) and comparing them with predefined values (setpoints).
Depending on the properties determined, either a joining process is started or the workpiece is passed
through at the deflector. The workpieces have to be transported individually so that they do not get mixed
up and the joining process is not impaired.
Distance sensor output signals
The distance sensor transmits both an analog and a binary output signal. The binary
switching output can be adapted to the measurement requirement using a simple
teach-in process.
If you want to use the sensor's analog output signal, we recommend setting it a
distance of approx. 70 mm from the measuring table and attaching the sensor at an
angle of 4° to 7°.
