Danger of crushing
There is a danger of crushing in the entire area of the slide units. Never reach into
the area of the slide units during operation.
•
Switch off the power supply!
– Switch off both the operating power and the control power before working on
the circuit.
– Only reach into the setup when it is at a complete standstill.
– Be aware of potential overtravel times for the actuators.
The Pick&Place module is a universal, 2-axis handling
device. The module consists of high-precision slide units.
The end positions of the slides are detected using proximity
sensors. The configuration of the proximity sensors and their
mounting positions and heights can be adjusted.
A suction cup with bellows grips the workpieces. A vacuum
filter is attached directly to the suction cup to ensure that no
dirt particles can infiltrate the vacuum generator. A pressure
switch indicates when the workpieces are being gripped
securely.
The force of the vertical slide unit (Z-axis) can be adjusted by
means of a pressure regulator.
The module is supplied complete with slide units, vacuum
generator, vacuum filter, suction cup with bellows, pressure
switch, valve manifold, pressure regulator and electrical
interface.
In another version, a parallel gripper is used
instead of the suction cup with bellows. The
parallel gripper grips the workpieces.
A proximity sensor detects whether the
parallel gripper is closed.
