9.2 The conveyor module 1

The motor controller used permits clockwise/counterclockwise rotation, inching operation and speed
control.
The presence of workpieces at the start of the conveyor, upstream of the deflector and at the end of the
conveyor is verified by optical proximity sensors with fiber-optic cables.
A pneumatic stopper (short-stroke cylinder) stops the workpieces at an orientation measurement point.
There, an analog diffuse sensor checks the orientation of the workpiece.
The workpieces can be stopped using an electric stopper with a quarter-turn actuator in the assembly
position.

Danger of entanglement!
There is a danger of entanglement in the area of the guide pulleys of the conveyor!
Never reach into this area while in operation!

Switch off the power supply!
– Switch off both the operating power and the control power before working on
the circuit.
– Only reach into the setup when it is at a complete standstill!
The conveyor module can be mounted on a profile
plate, a profile foot or a slotted mounting plate.
The Conveyor module is suitable for transporting,
buffering and separating workpieces with a diameter
of 40 mm (e. g. workpiece set "Cylinder bodies" or
"For cylinder assembly").
The conveyor belt is driven by a freely positionable DC
gear motor.
