S8 TIGER X-ray Spectrometer

Changing the Location of the S8 TIGER

The S8 TIGER is designed to be a mobile analytical device. The spectrometer can be moved on its
mounted wheels.
With each permanent location change, the following points must be considered:
ƒ
Before permanently changing the location of the S8 TIGER, please consult your local Bruker AXS
Service Representative.
ƒ
During transport of the S8 TIGER, the X-ray tube must be removed from the tube housing. After
each change of location, the correct tightness of the X-ray tube must be checked!
ƒ
During transport of the S8 TIGER, all mechanical vibrations are to be avoided. Otherwise, sensi-
tive physical components may be damaged.
ƒ
Please make sure that the S8 TIGER is securely positioned to avoid unintentional movement at its
new location (please use the provided blocking wedges).
ƒ
The mains connection at the new location must meet the requirements given in the section "mains
connection and grounding".
ƒ
At the new location, make sure that all local radiation protection regulations and operation permits
are strictly observed.
