Press the sensor button " " to move the firing chamber down-
wards or stop an upwards movement.
Sensor button Menu ("M")
Press this sensor button to display the main menu.
Sensor button Save ("S")
Is used to save programs (for details see section 5.6).
Sensor button "On/Off"
Press this sensor button to switch the furnace control on or off.
The firing chamber needs to be closed to switch the furnace off.
Sensor button "Night Mode"
This function activates the automatic power down of the furnace
after firing. The function can be added to the running program
at any time by pressing the button with the bed symbol. The bed
symbol for Night Mode is displayed in the firing data view and in
the progress view.
After the firing is completed, the unit switches off (screen off,
muffle off) and the firing chamber remains opened until the Night/
Standby temperature is reached. After reaching the Night/Stand-
by temperature, the firing chamber closes. Pressing the On/Off
button switches the furnace on again.
Sensor button Quick cooling "
Press the sensor button "
cooling function after completion of the program with opened
firing chamber.
The quick cooling remains activated until the preheating tempe-
rature is reached.
In this case, the actual temperature of the firing chamber must
be higher than the pre-heating temperature. Press the sensor
button "
" again to deactivate quick cooling.
Note: See section 6.2 for programmed quick cooling.
Press button "Start/Stop"
Press this button to start or stop a program. To start a program,
the firing chamber must be open. Stopping the program is
delayed by a few seconds. Please wait until the firing chamber
is completely open and the furnace has returned to firing data
view.
Clear "C"
Press this sensor button to:
• delete a wrong entry.
• confirm an informational or error display.
• abort a vacuum after reaching the preset vacuum level.
• abort a functional test.

selection or a parameter. Activate the individual sub-menus by
pressing the sub-menu sensor buttons; activate presets in the
same way. Change values with the numeric keypad. Changed
values are saved by selecting a new sub-menu or pressing the
sensor button "M" until the program is displayed again.

Used to enter job numbers in case of multiple firing runs.
Display time/date
Select whether time or date should be displayed in the program
(see section 6.15).
Test mode
(only available in service mode)
Used to record the last software actions.
Furnace Press/ Touch
(only available in service mode)
Used to select between Touch and Press functions.
Power failure backup duration 1– 20 seconds
Used to adjust the backup time in case of power failure in
seconds. Factory setting is 10 seconds (see section 6.4).
