5.9 Pressing
In order to press all-ceramics, first place the compression plat-
form on the firing socket holder.
After selecting the ceramic type "Pressable ceramic" in the
screen "Ceramic type", the furnace changes directly to the
program list "Pressable ceramics". The compression program
for FINESSE ALL CERAMIC is saved as fixed program at the
program number 301.
Select the factory-preset program FINESSE ALL CERAMIC from
the program list by pressing the appropriate sensor button.
After selecting the desired program, the furnace automatically
changes to the screen FINESSE ALL CERAMIC.

Note: Do not place the investment ring into the pressing muffle
at this time.
Press procedure description:
• After the start, the firing chamber closes and the temperature
increases from idle temperature (adjustable in the basic
settings) to the starting temperature of 700 °C.
• The firing chamber opens automatically as soon as the start-
ing temperature has been reached. The upper end position
of the firing chamber is 158 mm, as to facilitate placing the
pressing muffle on the pressing socket. An acoustic signal
informs the user to place the externally preheated pressing
muffle onto the pressing socket
• After placing the pressing muffle, press the sensor button Lift
" ", and the pressing program continues.
• The firing chamber closes; the vacuum pump activates and
generates a vacuum of 50 hPa.
• After reaching the vacuum level, the temperature increases
with a heating rate of 60 °C/min to the pressing temperature
of 930 °C.
• The hold time at pressing temperature is 20 min.

Open the firing cham-
ber with the sensor
button " " and start
the pressing program
with the sensor
button "Start/Stop".
The furnace changes
to the Program
procedure screen.
• After completion of the hold time, the pressing cylinder is
loaded with 2.7 bar compressed air and the pressing
procedure starts. The compression force is 21.7 dN, and the
pressing time 10 minutes.
• At the end of the pressing time, the pressing cylinder moves
into its initial position
• The pressing chamber is ventilated and moves to its upper
end position. The pressing is now complete.
Note: Always observe the manufacturer's requirements when
processing pressable ceramics. Always make sure that the
pressing muffle is centered on the pressing socket.
Caution! Use the pressing socket only for pressing. Crowns and
bridges fired on the pressing socket will be underfired.
6 Special functions
6.1 Night/Standby
This function prevents moisture from entering the firing chamber
by maintaining a preselected temperature between 101 °C
and 300 °C in the firing chamber when switched "Off". The
Night/Standby temperature can be selected in the basic
settings.
Recommended Night/Standby temperature: 120 °C.
Temperature > 100 °C = Night/Standby activated
Temperature < 100 °C = Night/Standby deactivated
Activating the Night/Standby function
• Night/Standby temperature greater than 100 °C and switching
the furnace off with the "On/Off" switch.
• Night/Standby temperature greater than 100 °C and pressing
the sensor button with the bed symbol during firing (Night mode).
Note: In order for this function to be active, the furnace must
not be switched off (e.g. main switch/master switch must not be
switched off).
6.2 Quick cooling
The function quick cooling is used to decrease the temperature
of the firing chamber faster after firing is complete. On activation,
the firing chamber opens, the vacuum pump activates and conti-
nuously aspirates fresh air into the firing chamber. Quick cooling
ends when the preheating temperature has been reached.
This means that the pump will stop 20 °C below the preheating
temperature.
Manual activation:
Quick cooling can be manually activated with opened firing
chamber after completion of the program by pressing the sensor
button "
".
