Time-controlled vacuum (Dentsply firing method)
After completion of the preheating time, the firing chamber
closes; the vacuum chamber activates and evacuates the firing
chamber until the preset vacuum is reached.
Temperature-controlled vacuum
(Dentsply Ceramco firing method)
Vacuum activation and deactivation is temperature-controlled.
Heating rate
Once the preset vacuum is reached, the temperature increases
with the preset heating rate to the firing temperature. Below the
program section, the heating time is displayed, counting down
to zero.
Vacuum time
After reaching the firing temperature, the firing time under
vacuum starts. Below the program section, the vacuum time is
displayed, counting down to zero. At the end of the vacuum
time, the firing chamber is ventilated.
4 Practical application: introduction
4.1 Firing parameter limit values
At the end of the firing time, the firing chamber moves to the
upper end position. The end of firing is indicated by a triple
acoustic signal and the screen display changes back to the
program start interface.

Temperature-controlled vacuum is only selectable in the Ceramco firing method.
Note: Values outside of these limits can neither be set nor started. The entered value is set back automatically to the previous value.
Firing time
The vacuum time is followed by the firing time at normal pres-
sure, i.e. without vacuum. Below the program section, the firing
time is displayed, counting down to zero.
Note: When heating the firing chamber, there may be vibration
noises from the heater winding.
Tempering (not programmed in the test program)
The tempering position of 50 mm is a factory-preset value.
For other metal ceramics, ask the ceramics manufacturer for
the values for tempering position and tempering temperature
(see also section 6.14).
