CAUTION!
Pulling off of the HG-VCI PC when actuating the clutch
Risk of injury or material damages
Proceed as follows before startup:
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. No gear is engaged.
3. Regard the window with information and instructions.
NOTICE
Danger of short circuit and voltage peaks when connecting the HG-VCI PC
Danger of destruction of automotive electronics
Switch off ignition before connecting the HG-VCI PC to the vehicle.
4. Connect the HG-VCI PC to the vehicle's diagnostic connection.
ð Both LEDs of the HG-VCI PC flash.
ð The HG-VCI PC is ready for operation.
5. Select >Diagnostics< in the main menu.
ð Now you can select the type of diagnostics.
11.5.2. Trouble code
If a component malfunction is detected while ECU carries out an internal test, a trouble code will be set in memory and the
corresponding warning lamp will be activated. The device reads out the trouble code and displays it in plain text. It also in-
dicates information about the trouble code, such as possible effects and causes.
11.5.2.1. Reading out trouble codes
Proceed as follows to read out the trouble codes:
1. Perform steps 1 to 11 as described in section Vehicle selection.
