the rule.
- Modify the value on the right display by
pressing the
the previously measured distance d2.
- Press the
machine for entering the nominal wheel
diameter.
- Read the rated rim diameter value on the
tyre.
- Modify the value displayed on the right
display by pressing the
keys to get the previously measured
nominal diameter.
- Press
to display the unbalance
values (recalculated according to the
new dimensions) or
wheel spin.
Applying balancing weights. (Fig. 15)
- Select the plane where the first balancing
weight is to be applied.
- Turn the wheel until the central element
of the corresponding position indicator
lights up.
If the weight to be applied is a conven-
tional clip type(inner side in Alu 2P), apply
it on the corresponding 12 o'clock posi-
tion. If the weight to be applied is instead
the adhesive type and the weight-holder
device is installed, proceed as follows:
- position it inside the cavity of the weight-
holder terminal of the measuring arm (Fig.
15,a,b), with the backing paper of the
adhesive strip facing up. Then remove
the guard (Fig. 15c).

- IN THE MACHINE VERSION WITH AUTO-
MATIC SENSOR move the sensor until
it reaches the indicated position. In this
phase, one display continues to show the
unbalance value of the side to be balanced,
while the other shows a numerical value
updated on the basis of the sensor position,
which becomes zero when the position for
application of the weight is reached.
- IN THE MACHINE VERSION WITH
MANUAL SENSOR with the wheel in a
centred position, the machine indicates
the unbalance value on a display, whereas
the other display shows the message "d1"
or "d2" alternately to the distance value
of the plane corresponding to the body.
- Move the sensor to the position shown on
the display in which the message "d1" or
"d2" appears alternately to the distance
value (the distance is read on the rule).
- Turn the end of the measuring arm until
the weight adhesive strip is in line with
the rim surface.
- Press the key (Fig. 15d) to eject the weight
and make it stick to the rim.
- Return the measuring arm to the rest
position (Fig. 15e).
- Repeat the operations to apply the second
balancing weight.
- Perform a test wheel spin to check the
balancing accuracy.
The rim surface must be perfectly clean to
make the weight stick efficiently to the rim.
