Use Blackmagic Teranex Setup for updating your
Teranex processor and for changing settings remotely
from a Mac OS X or Windows computer.
Updating the Internal Software
It is important to ensure that power is connected to your Teranex processor before connecting
a USB cable between the computer and your Teranex.
1
Power your Teranex processor.
2
Attach a USB cable from the computer to your Teranex.
3
Launch the Blackmagic Teranex Setup application. Teranex Setup will detect the USB
connection to your Teranex and will display it as a "Local USB" connection.
A USB connected device is always positioned as the first device in the list of connected
devices in Teranex Setup. Note the white dot at the bottom of the screenshot on the
previous page.
4
Click the icon below the processor's name to establish a connection. If Blackmagic
Teranex Setup contains newer internal software than that currently installed in your
Teranex, you will be prompted to update. Just follow the onscreen instructions to
complete the update. Once the internal software update is complete, disconnect the
USB cable. If you are connected to your Teranex via Ethernet, you may locate your
Teranex by name within the list of Teranex connected devices to make changes to your
Teranex settings using the setup utility.
