Turn tuning button to set the level adjust-
ment.
Press tuning button to con rm the setting.
Front Microphone
Connect the microphone to MIC jack and pess
MIC button to MIC mode.
• Connect a microphones to the MIC jack to
verify that sound is output from the car
audio system.
Check that all the cords are fully inserted
into the jacks on both the receiver and the
equipment.
Check the connection of the speaker which
is not outputting any sound.
There is no sound from a speci c equipment.
• Check that the equipment is connected correctly
to the audio input jacks for that equipment.
• Check that the cord(s) used for the connection
connection is (are) fully inserted into the jacks
on both the receiver and the equipment.
There is severe hum or noise.
• Check that the speakers and equipment are
connected securely.
• Check that the connecting cords are away
from a transformer or motor.
• The plugs and jacks are dirty. Wipe them
with a cloth slightly moistened with alcohol.
External audio sources
Front AUX-IN socket
Danger!
Increased risk of injury
from connector.
In case of an accident, the protruding
connector in the front AUX-IN socket may
cause injuries. The use of straight plugs or
adapters leads to an increased risk of injury.
For this rearson, it is recommended to use
angled jack plugs.
As soon as an external audio source, such as a
portable MP3 player is connected to the front
AUX-IN socket; , it can be selected with the
SRC button @ . "AUX" then appears on the
display.

Sound settings

The following sound settings can be changed inthe
"AUDIO" menu:
• Adjusting bass and treble
• Setting the left/right volume distribution
(Balance) or front/rear (Fader)
• Adjusting the increase of bass at low volume
(Loudness)
• Selecting a sound pro le
• Selecting level and frequency of the preampli er
output(Sub-Out).
• Adjusting the time delay for switching in an
external ampli er.
• Setting the 3-band equaliser
Calling and exiting the "AUDIO"
menu
Brei y press the MENU button to open the user
menu.
Turn the tuning button until the "AUDIO" menu item
is selected.
Press tuning button to open the "AUDIO" menu.
Turn tuning button until the desired menu item is
selected.
Perform the setting (see the next section).
Brei y press the MENU button to exit the menu.
Notes:
• The menu is automatically exited approx. 15 s
econds after the last button activation and you
are returned to the display of the current audio
source.
• To go back to the next higher-level menu, turn
tuning button until the "<<<" option is selected
and press the rotary control.
Making settings in the "AUDIO" menu
BASS
Bass level. Settings: –7 to +7.
Turn tuning button to change the settings.
Press tuning button to con rm the setting.
TREBLE
Treble level. Settings: –7 to +7.
Turn tuning button to change the settings.
