If the battery power decreases, the yellow LED light in
the volume control/battery status indicator (C) flashes.
If the battery power is no longer sufficient to maintain
the normal functions, the LED light is permanently lit and
no sound is produced.

5.4 Removing or sliding on the titanium sleeve
Caution
Risk of injury: The skin can be pinched when the titanium sleeve is slid off or on.
• Move the titanium sleeve slowly and carefully!

5.5 Reading the serial number
The serial number is located on the type plate of the SERVOX
speech aid. To read the serial number, unscrew the bottom cover and
slide the titanium sleeve off the housing.
On the plastic housing underneath, the serial number is indicated on the
type plate behind the marking "SN".
5.6 Using the buttons
In natural speech, individual syllables, words or parts of sentences are
emphasised by a change in pitch. The SERVOX
®
assigned different pitches.
In the factory setting, the upper button (A) is preset in a lower audio frequency as the basic tone for
speaking and the lower button (B) in a higher audio frequency for emphasising individual syllables,
words or parts of sentences. The pitch of each button can be adjusted
individually.

Briefly change to button (B) to emphasise individual language
elements
The buttons can be operated with the index and middle fingers or by
tilting the thumb (see Figure 13 and 14).
