The SERVOX
®
digital XL strap set, allows the SERVOX
aid to be worn around the neck. The carrying strap is inserted underne-
ath the titanium sleeve and secured with the strap protector. One end
of the strap protector is bevelled, the other end is U-shaped.
 Remove titanium sleeve
 Remove the strap protector from the recess in the top of the device
 Put the fastener of the carrying strap with the welded end into the
recess at the top
 Place the strap in the notch.
 Finish by placing the strap protector upside down with the
"U-end" over the strap and press it tight
 Then slide the titanium sleeve back onto the speech aid. If the
titanium sleeve does not slide on easily, check the fit of the strap
protector and correct it if necessary
If no carrying strap is used, the strap protector should be inserted in-
to the top of the device with the bevelled end so that the opening is

7.4 SERVOX

®
digital XL belt pouch
In the SERVOX
®
digital XL belt pouch, the SERVOX
XL speech aid can be attached to a belt and carried close to
the body. The belt pouch has a separate compartment for
battery holders incl. spare batteries and can be adjusted to
different belt widths with a hook and loop fastener.
Store the belt pouch in a dry and dust-free place and dispose
of it in the household waste when damaged or worn out

7.5 Batteries, charger and travel adapter (optional)

The batteries can be charged via the battery charger. A travel adapter is included for using the charger
with different types of sockets. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, information and safety
instructions for all accessories.

8 Cleaning/disinfection

Attention
Never immerse the SERVOX
®
digital XL speech aid in liquids!
Do not allow any liquids to get inside the SERVOX
Do not clean the SERVOX
digital XL speech aid with aggressive cleaning agents or aggressive
®
household products!
Do not use the SERVOX
®
digital XL speech aid until it is completely dry!
The inside of the SERVOX
digital XL screw cap should not be touched or get wet or come into
®
contact with alcohol.
Note
• Before first use, before prolonged storage and after prolonged non-use, the SERVOX
XL speech aid, screw caps and oral tubes must be cleaned/disinfected.
• Clean or disinfect the SERVOX
digital XL screw cap only when screwed onto the speech
®
aid.

8.1 Methods used

For cleaning: Commercial dishwashing detergent
For disinfection: 94 % alcohol
Soft and lint-free cloths
Commercially available cotton swabs
Access to clear, clean water
Container for boiling
8.2 SERVOX
digital XL speech aid and SERVOX
®
 To clean before first use and daily, wipe thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with
water and a few drops of commercial dishwashing detergent (not wet or dripping) and dry with
a soft lint-free cloth.
 To disinfect, wipe thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with 94 % alcohol
 Then dry thoroughly with a soft lint-free cloth or allow to air dry completely.
When cleaning and disinfecting, be sure to also thoroughly wipe the gaps between the screw cap
and the speech aid and between the screw cap rim and the membrane, the insert for the carrying
strap and around the buttons and volume control to remove any residues of skin grease, skin particles,
microorganisms or other dirt. Do not allow any liquid to get inside the SERVOX
Battery contacts
 Monthly check the battery contacts inside the speech aid and on the battery holder for corrosion
or dirt.
 Gently and gently wipe dirty or corroded battery contacts with a cotton swab moistened with
94 % alcohol (not dripping) and allow to dry completely.

 To clean, place in water with a few drops of washing-up liquid once a day and wipe the outside
