POLARIZED PLUG: This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade is wider

plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified elec
trician to replace the obsolete outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Toastmaster Automatic Ice Cream Maker. You'll
find it to be extremely versatile in the preparation of frozen desserts and drinks.
Because it's so much fun to use and easy to clean, you'll no doubt use it often.
The specially designed freezer bowl eliminates the need for ice and salt.
You will find a variety of recipes: some need to be cooked and chilled and oth
ers are "easy-mix and go". We do not suggest varying directions or making any
substitutions in the recipes other than the substitution of any liquid dairy prod
uct for another. Remember, using a dairy product with a higher fat content will
produce ice cream with the best flavor and texture.
All the recipes that come with your new ice cream maker have been specially
formulated and successfully passed the rigorous standards of the Toastmaster
Test Kitchen. If you wish to try your own recipes, do it with a pioneering spirit
and keen sense of humor! Due to the freezer bowl size, the ingredient mea
surements for your traditional recipes may need to be adjusted. Remember,
never fill your freezer bowl over 3/4 (4 cups) of the way full when using a recipe
not included in this recipe book. Enjoy your new ice cream maker!
A special thanks to St. Louis District Dairy Council for their assistance.
