WARNING!
Electric shock
The device is not de-energized when the on/off button is pressed and
the display goes out. Use of fluids on the device may cause an electric
shock.
Follow the steps below to de-energize the device:
► Switch off the device
► Pull out the power supply connector
► Take out the batteries

► Subject the device to a hygiene treatment at regular intervals as
described in this section.
NOTICE!
Damage to device
Unsuitable cleaning agents and disinfectants may damage the sensi-
tive surfaces of the device and lead to transparent components be-
coming clouded.
► Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
► Do not use organic solvents (e.g. white spirit or petroleum spirit).
► If required, moisten a soft cloth with a mild soap solution and wipe the device
over with it.
WARNING!
Risk of infection
► Regularly clean the display and the handrail (if present).
1. Disinfect the device at regular intervals with a disinfectant suitable for sensi-
tive surfaces and acrylic glass (e.g. 70 % ethanol).
2. Follow the instructions for use for the disinfectant.
3. Disinfect the device:
► Moisten a soft cloth with disinfectant and wipe down the device with it.
