The connection kit is intended to couple two individual, compatible electronic
platform scales together to form a scale for bigger objects.
The kit contains a mechanical connection as well as an electric connection and
allows to use one display for two compatible electronic platform scales.
Devices shipped partly assembled may only be assembled by sufficiently quali-
fied persons (such as specialist dealers, hospital technicians or seca Service
technicians).
The device may only be set up and incorporated in a network by experienced
administrators or hospital technicians.
The device may only be operated by persons with formal training in the health-
care sector or in medicine.
Persons of any gender and age (with the exception of babies) who
• do not exceed the maximum load capacity of the scale and
• sit in a wheelchair or
• lie on a stretcher or in a bed or
• can hold themselves independently on the scale in standing position - if avail-
able, with support of a handrail.
No contraindications are known.
The electronic platform scale supports physicians in decision-making regarding
diagnosis or therapy based on parameters measured and calculated (indirect
clinical benefit).
The mandatory display supports the intended purpose of compatible scales (in-
direct clinical benefit).
The ramp supports the intended purpose of compatible scales (indirect clinical
benefit).
