At the same time check the operating mode of the overlock.
3. Gently press the foot pedal.
CHAIN STITCHING
When you have completed your trial sew, keep
pressing the foot control to continue sewing
over the edge of the fabric by about 10 cm (4
inches).
The overlock will automatically perform a
chain stitch.
• Uneven thread tension will result in an une-
ven chain stitch.
In this case, while holding the end of the
thread with your hand, check that the thread
is threaded correctly and adjust the tension.
The chain stitch will run smoothly after the
adjustment.
THREAD BREAKAGE WHILE SEWING
•
If the thread breaks during your work, remove the fabric from under the
presser foot and then thread in the correct order:
1. Thread the upper looper, lower looper and right needle.
2. Then thread the left needle, after which place the fabric under the
presser foot so that there is 3-5cm of thread left up to the break point.
3. Proceed with your work.

ADJUSTING THE PRESSURE OF THE PRESSER
FOOT ON THE FABRIC
•
The pressure of the presser foot on the fabric is initially set for sewing
mid-weight fabrics.
•
Depending on the type of fabric you can change the presser foot pres-
sure with the adjusting screw.
Decrease the presser foot pressure for sewing lightweight fabrics.
Increase the presser foot pressure for sewing thick fabrics.
