It is possible to operate only if iCapture is turned on (see the iCapture manual for details about installation and use).

15 Turning the sensor on and off

An x-ray sensor has to be connected to the connector present on the interface in order to use the ZEN-X system.
Insert the sensor's connector in the interface making sure it is in the right direction. It is cor-
rectly inserted if a short click is heard.
To unplug the connector, squeeze the sides to disengage the lock and remove it avoiding excessive forces or moving
sideways.
The x-ray sensor is expensive and fragile, bothered by static electricity. As a result, always remove it from the interface
after the interface has been shut off:
- Always use the Stand-By position for ZEN-Xi to disconnect the sensor's connector;
- ZEN-X should be shut off with the specific key or by disconnecting it from the USB

16 Acquiring an x-ray image

An x-ray unit has different capturing modes depending on the acquisition software used. Consult the instructions sup-
plied by the manufacturer of the software used.
If the iCapture Monitor software supplied with the ZEN-X system is employed, use is extremely simple.
Boot an image acquisition program by selecting image acquisition from iCapture.
Do not take x-ray pictures on a patient when testing the system for the first time or verifying
correct operation. Use phantoms to conduct tests.
