SUCTION:
No load is allowed on the suction port. It should be used only to connect
strainer or extension pipe.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

Pump can be delivered as a complete pump set including electrical
motor, flexible coupling, coupling guard and baseplate. It can be also
delivered without one of those parts. A CE integration certificate is then
supplied.
This instructions and operating manual is part of the pump supply and
should be delivered attached to the pump. If not, ask WILO Customer
department to get it.
ATEX pumps may be delivered with specific instrumentation. Refer
to pump technical datasheet or to acknowledgment of order to know
exhaustive scope of supply.

DESCRIPTION AND WORKING PRINCIPLE

6.1 PRODUCT INFORMATION

Norma V pumps are pit pumps with dry motor. The centrifuge hydraulic
has vertical inlet and radial outlet. A discharge pipe is integrated to allow
hydraulic connection above mating plate.
Integrated support clamp can be used for direct installation (assembly
type CS). Pumps can be fitted with a rectangular mating plate fully
adaptable to customer needs (ISO or ANSI, special shape, ...)
Shaft bearings can be lubricated by the pumped fluid or another fluid
available on site.
Different assembly variants exist for drives. Motors frames are V1 or V18
according to IEC standard.

MOTOR ASSEMBLY TYPES :

6.1.1.1 MOTOR ASSEMBLY TYPE CS :
A clamp is fastened on pump column and allows easy adjustment of
pump length under mating plate. The drive is directly fastened on upper
column flange. Maximum installed power is 9KW for this design. A rigid
coupling keyed onto pump and motor shafts is used for power
transmission. Size "O" smaller than 1300mm.

6.1.1.2 MOTOR ASSEMBLY TYPE EM :
A cast iron lantern is installed between column upper flange and drive to
allow bigger drives to be installed (up to 18.5KW). This pump
arrangement does not allow axial adjustment of the column. A rigid
coupling keyed onto pump and motor shafts is used for power
transmission. Size "O" smaller than 1300mm.
6.1.1.3 MOTOR ASSEMBLY TYPE TM :
A bearing bracket fitted with two ball bearings is used to support axial
load. This arrangement is available for pumps length above 1920 mm
under mating flange. Ball bearings are grease lubricated. Power is
transmitted through a semi elastic coupling to the pump shaft.
6.1.1.4 MOTOR ASSEMBLY TYPE TH AND MOTOR FRAME
V1 :
A bearing bracket fitted with one over-sized ball bearing is used to
support axial load. This arrangement is available for pumps length above
1920 mm under mating flange. The ball bearing is lifetime lubricated.
Power is transmitted through a rigid coupling to the pump shaft (keyed).
